Reading - One Minute Reader app

Fluency

Helping students develop reading skills in one of the most challenging tasks we face as educators.  To help tackle this challenge, teachers use a variety of resources, including technology, to meet the individual needs of all their students.
 
 
The One Minute Reader app offers a selection of non-fiction leveled stories that are interesting and engaging  Students can read along with a recording of the story to help them learn correct pronunciation, as well as time themselves as they practice reading a story several times to develop fluency.  Reading comprehension questions, vocabulary activities, and quizzes are also available for each story.

-improves fluency, vocabulary and comprehension
-expands student's knowledge through reading nonfiction text
-audio support helps students learn unfamiliar words and how to correctly pronounce them
